SLB envisions a Filipino nation that celebrates love for country and genuine democracy. It works towards this end in the spirit of a faith that does justice and the preferential option for the poor.
We are a non-partisan and Church-based organization of religious, priests, seminarians and lay individuals committed to the service of the Filipino Church and the Filipino people. Through our projects and programs, we seek to foster participation and vigilance among Filipino citizens in the socio-political and economic affairs of the state.
Guided by the Gospel values, SLB is committed to promoting responsible citizenship through advocacies, values-education, socio-spiritual integration, conscientization, and bridge building among the various sectors of society. In all, SLB seeks to promote the truth through research, social analysis, discernment and dialogue, information dissemination, and vigilant action respectful of democratic institutions. Lastly, SLB aims to evangelize the Filipino culture through the revitalization of hope and empowerment.
